In the name of Allah, the benficent, the Merciful

Ok guys. A list of recent events have changed my life. I am forced to sell my camera to finish off the expenses they have brough on me. It's really sad to say. But I cannot take anymore photo's for about 6 or 7 months the least. When I come back, (notice the word when) I'll have a new camera, inshallah, and I'll have the fund to support my photographic needs. But for now....I must part for a while. Life goes on.

I will end the photoblog with what it began.

I will return. Good luck to all of you here on shutterchance. Suby, dont forget to dominate the nubies. :)

Peace be upon you all :) - Reza

There is something about this shot that makes me keep looking at it for minutes but can't find out what it is. Very evocative

Suby from Milton Keynes, UK 1 May 2006, 11:10
Jide watch out, we seem to have someone who edits similar to you smile Goin to call you guys the "saturation buddies" smile I like this one, sort of has a almost dreamy feel to it. I agree with navinharish, something keeps making one look at this shot (well I guess your job as a photographer is done here).

Impressed once again (darn when is he going to post a dud shot? smile )

Suby
Reza: Hehehe. Thank you Suby, I think I actually bumped down the master saturation down by -4. lol. However, I did intensify the grass aka greens. Thank you for your comments. smile

Nice... Well composed, and the processing looks great too!

I was quite certain I had seen this image before Reza.
It is very sad when one is forced to part with something one really desires. No doubt I trust we will still continue to have the pleasure of your thoughtful and provocative insights from time to time.
Peace be upon you smile

Hey Reza, that's bad, sad news but with a happy ending cos you gonna get a new camera - sooner rather than later.
Of course you will still be keeping an eye on the chancy shutters in the meantime and letting us have some of your photo wisdom.
So don't forget, all is not lost!
Actually, on that point, surely you have a collection of (archival) images that you can PP and post while working towards a new camera? Assuming, of course that you will still have a PC!.
My other piece of advice (ignore if you wish) is that Minor White - an iconic USA photographer - said (and I paraphrase) that you didn't need a camera to take a picture - only your eye and mind.
And (another piece of advice) - use your library, look at books of photos, images, pictures and read words that tell you more about the image, the photographer, what they were thinking/trying to achieve, their process and - of course - what you feel, think, respond to ...
Looking forward to your return.
regards
idleye

Hey Reza, Petra's right about the equipement...and I've just read Idleye's comments and I think he's articulated my thoughts...so PLEASE make sure you stay online with Shutterchance...one way or another...your presence is needed.

Suby from Milton Keynes, Great Britain (UK) 19 Jun 2006, 12:05
Noooo, this is a sad sad day. I feel your pain bro, this shows this little hobby of ours really is not a very cheap hobby smile I know you will be ba ck sooner rather than later, that talent of yours must be utilised to it's full potential.

Idleye has said it all. Will definitely make them newbies cry, weep oops I might to say give them some constructive feedback. Hey cause you are not taking picture don't mean you have to be a stranger to Shutterchance.

You know you are still allowed to comment and visit bro. So stop chatting like we ain't going to hear from you till you get a new camera.

I WANT to see comments from the Reza man as normal on Shutterchance, as everyone knows, there can be only ONE Reza man smile

So i will not be saying looking forward to your return cause I know you will still be here.

So I end this by saying, "Until your next comment bro" smile
